INTRUDER ALARMS

Do you have an Intruder Alarm System on your home or premises? If not, this is something you should consider.

Why? An intruder Alarm System is your last line of defence against forced entry. Once the system is activated someone is already in your premises or home and damaged has already occurred through forced entry. The next step and main purpose of the system is to reduce their dwell time, thus in tern reducing the amount of damage or assets they can cause and remove.

There are 2 main types of systems, and each can be to a specific grade, this will be of significant importance if your insurance company has specified what grade it needs to be. There are wired and wireless systems, all of which can have different signalling paths, each with their own merit.

An IAS system can be a “bells only system” (Grade dependant) which means that the alarm will sound when triggered but you will be reliant on either surrounding neighbours/businesses or a notification via a app. Alternatively you can have the system monitored by a monitoring station who will in turn call and notify either key holders associated with the premises or home who would then have to respond themselves.

You can however either call the police to respond and response times will vary depending on the severity of the incident and the number of crews available at the time in the area. If you have a Key Holding & Alarm Response Service such as ours, we will respond on your behalf.
